Is anybody knows the key combination for Skytex SX-E700 so I can start system recovery or even upgrade to some other OS like 3MX. There is no info or software provided on Skytex site.

After many tries with different sd-cards my trendtac is now updating, using the renaming-trick of Eric above, with a 1 gigabyte kingston fat-16 sd-card.
It has a half line of dots now, and it grows….

Found the solution on the LittleLinuxLaptop forum: rename the file to ‘Alpha400_0701.img’ and it works. (I put it in the root of a FAT16 formatted SD-card)

I have the same problem as jilt. Neither this nor the 3MX 4.0 recovery files work. I’ve tried several types of SD-cards, several USB sticks, both FAT and FAT32 formats. Also tried putting the files in the root. Doesn’t work.
